Sat 1 Jul 2023 - Cafe Forum - Composition for all genres of photography.
This meeting will be held in Selby Library.
Is there a difference? Presentation and discussion. Bring your favourite image taken using something you have learned at café forum or taken during one of the sessions. Explain why it is your favourite.
Sat 3 Jun 2023 - Cafe Forum - Bridges, water & Tracks.
This meeting will be held in Selby Library.
Presentation about the different approaches to these three subjects. If you have taken some images before the session bring one of each subject. Why did you take them and any difficulties you experienced.
If we have time go out into Selby and try to photograph one or all of the subjects.

Thu 25 May 2023 - Annual Buffet & Presentation of Awards
This is both a social night and for presentation of Awards for the 2022/23 season. Partners are most welcome to attend with members.
The event will take place a Selby Bowling Club. The meal will be buffet style and a bar will be open. During the event awards will be presented to those members who have achieved success in the Points Competitions or the Annual Competitions.
Celia is taking names of members who wish to attend.

Tonights meeting will be in the large hall, and around the hall, and possibly in the corridor, will be 8 members who have all kindly offered to show some aspect of photography. From Nick showing how he uses an I pad to create some different images, Tony showeing macro flower photography and a range of other activities including mounting, critiquing and using a light box.
There will be plenty of time and opportunity throuought the evening to move around and see all the various activities so please be mindful of allowing everybody a chance to participate in all of them.

To enable the club to reintroduce the end of season awards evening it is necessary to extend this seasons activities by two weeks.
The first of these will be an “Open Forum” evening where members are invited to ask questions on absolutely anything photographic, or on club activities, and between us all we will do our best to either answer on the evening to take it forward for a later resolution.

This should be a very interesting insight into printing. Colin is going to bring along some of his printers and a selection of Permajet papers. Nearer the time members will be invited to submit some of their images for Colin to Print. The intention is to demonstrate printing methods on a selection of papers to illustrate the benefit of choosing the correct paper.

THE SETTLE TROPHY 2022
Selby camera club will be the host for this years competition which will be judged at Kings Church on Thursday 10th November 2022.
Pocklington camera club will replace Howden who have withdrawn which will mean that there is still a club from each of the Ridings.
A reminder that the clubs are: - Doncaster CC, Wakefield CC, Selby CC and Pocklington CC.
Once again the competition will be digital images only. 10 Open Monochrome & 10 Open Colour images from each club.
