Hi and welcome to Selby Camera Club website.

Selby Camera Club is a small friendly photographic club that caters for photographers of all ages and experience.

The aim of the club is to stimulate and encourage members to improve their photography. It was formed in 1887 and has around 50 members.

The Club meets every Thursday at 7.00 pm from September to May at Kings Church, New Lane, Selby YO8 4QB.

New members are always welcome – you can attend two meetings before deciding whether to join.

Our Annual Exhibition in Selby Abbey was held as usual over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Many thanks for all those who voted for their favourite image. The winning picture was “A winter scene” by Brian Cartwright. For more details of the result select the News and Events tab.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 27 September at 7.00pm in Kings Church “What’s the problem” when we will be having a presentation by Ian Day FRPS of the Yorkshire Post entitled “Press photography, one photographer, many disciplines”.
