SELBY CAMERA CLUB WIN THE 2016 “SETTLE TROPHY” INTER CLUB COMPETITION.

The “Settle Trophy” is an annual inter club competition between Doncaster, Howden, Selby & Wakefield Camera Clubs.

The hosts, this year, were Doncaster Camera Club and the Judge was Peter Thompson DPAGB. APAGB. From York.

Each club submits 8 digital images and 8 prints which are then marked out of 20 points with the winning club being the one with the most aggregate points.

After a very competitive competition Selby emerged the victors by one point, the final scores being : Selby 268, Doncaster 267, Wakefield 261 and Howden 235.

Individual congratulations must go to Selby member Alan Robson FRPS. APAGB. for gaining one of only three maximum points on the evening and to Christine Carr LRPS. CPAGB. BPE1*   for a 19 points in the print section.

Thanks must also go to those members whose images contributed to our success – Robert Helliwell, Stephanie Cook, Richard Poskitt, Peter Sorrell, Norma Phillips, David Brown, Ann Kitchener, Angela Taylor and Harvey Brewster.

The hosts in 2017 will be at Howden Camera Club and we look forward to another competitive evening in our bid to retain the trophy.
